Buckeye Girls State, proudly sponsored by the Ohio American Legion Auxiliary, is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for young women in Ohio to step into the world of leadership and civic engagement. This immersive, week-long experience brings the workings of city, county, and state government to life—giving Delegates more hands-on knowledge than most will gain in an entire semester of school.
At Buckeye Girls State, you won't just learn about government—you'll live it. From campaigning and debating to running for office and passing legislation, you'll build confidence, make lasting friendships, and uncover your own potential as a future leader.
Recognized by organizations like Freedom’s Foundation at Valley Forge and the National Association of Secondary School Principals, this program continues to inspire and empower generations of young women across Ohio.
