From the Commander
Greetings Everyone,
I hope everyone enjoyed a happy and healthy July 4th weekend!
A huge thank you to all of those who came out to volunteer during the Red, Rhythm
and Boom celebration. It was a tremendous success and will greatly benefit the
post.
I hope everyone who was able to attend the FC Cincinnati Salute to Service game
had as awesome time as our family. It was an incredible experience and an exciting
game. Hope to see you at the next one.
Congratulations again to this year's scholarship award winners.
Julia Abbott $1500.00
Branden Dunn $1500.00
Ryan Davis $1000.00
Olivia Thomas $1000.00
Eric Baseman $1000.00
Thank you to those who were able to attend the meeting and speak with us in person
about how this scholarship will help meet your educational needs.
Thank you to our guest speaker, Jaimie Kuhlman from the Cincinnati VA Medical Center– Discussed fall / trip prevention and advanced health directives. Left copies of advanced directive templates. Also discussed the differences between health care power of attorney and financial power of attorney and living wills.
A lot is going on over the next few months. Keep your eyes peeled for details on
Music in Mason every Friday and all the other upcoming events.
Our post will once again be represented in the McMaster's Golf Outing this
September. This year, the post is sponsoring a hole in honor of our good friend
Boomer! Good luck to those participating!
Respectfully,
Patrick Strausbaugh
